The Speaking Their Peace team met Nebojsa at a cafe in a mainly Serbian village outside the capital, Pristina. There were very few people in the dark cafe, and very few foreigners visit the village, so we attracted some stares. We walked through the cafe out to the outdoor seating area that looked out over a small garden.
It was morning and very cool. Although a little cautious in how he expressed himself, Nebojsa was very open and friendly, with a smile and sense of humor. It was easy to see how, although he is Serbian, he was able to gain the trust of his Albanian neighbors.
